Hello, my name is Shelly. I am a First Aid & CPR certified (2020, renewed in 2023) mother and grandmother. While my youngest child still lives at home, my other two children are married, and my eldest has one child, my 4-year-old granddaughter Nora.
I ran a successful childcare from my home for fourteen years starting in 1991, so I could be a stay-at-home mom for my young children. Once they were in school fulltime, I transitioned back into the workforce, and worked outside the home for fifteen years.
I recommenced my childcare operation in 2020, as I had been permanently laid off from my full-time job of fifteen years due to Covid-19. My goal has been to open up my home to parents that are looking for a safe and secure environment for their child(ren), one where their child(ren) will receive more one-on-one attention than if they were in a centre.
Reopening my home-based childcare has allowed me to pursue my passion by committing myself and my services to caring for children in my non-smoking, pet friendly, safe and loving home. These last few years have allowed me the opportunity to meet so many amazing children and families that have positively impacted my life.
